Culture has an enormous influence on our beliefs. Many of us judge other people around the world just because of the way we were brought up to think. Many of our elders were in the Vietnam War or WWII. Many of these family members of ours have strong opinions about the people in other countries they fought against. Thus it is a part of our nature to adapt these views as our own as explained in the social learning theory. Furthermore, going back in history, slavery was an issue that has influenced our culture. Our nation has struggled with African American equality for an extremely long time. Finally, we are starting to see much more needed repect and equality, but it is imbedded into our culture to have that segregation. There is still a division at some times, but as a country we have worked on fixing that cultural flaw. Everything about a culture makes that area unique, and people on the inside of a culture think that it is the best thing, therefore they judge the people who are not in their culture and those that do not participate in the rituals of their culture. Thus, where we are brought up and the people around you in that area have a strong influence on how we percieve others around the world.

Excellent use of war as a way to determine how culture influences our thought process.
